2012: It's a Disaster!!!

This spoof of the forthcoming movie 2012 (starring John Cusack as "Jackson Curtis"!) is guaranteed to be far more entertaining than the full-blown film which is being directed by Roland Emmerich—a man whose illustrious body of work includes Independence Day, Godzilla, The Day After Tomorrow, and 10,000 BC.

In his defense, Roland Emmerich also directed Stargate (which I thought was awesome when I was thirteen years old but haven't seen even one time since) and The Patriot (which is basically a remake of Braveheart but with one important difference—Mel Gibson fights against the British in this one! Wait. Oh fuck, I've really screwed up this parenthetical.).

2012 is coming out on November 13th, 2009 and I think that we need to see it for the following two reasons: First, we all know how much Eduardo loves John Cusack. Second, his character's name (again, Jackson Curtis) makes him sound like he should be a regular contributor on this very blog.

So, let's do it.
