This post will suck compared to the last one

Eduardo, your descriptions of these cinematic masterpieces capture everything that is great about the eighties, nay, life itself!

Here are a few videos that have touched my soul. They represent the full spectrum of human emotions and in some ways are superior to the raw emotions that they portray. They are larger, more profound, and indescribably beautiful.

1. Van Halen - Jump

From that first note, from the first time someone does the splits, the first jazz hands, and the first hair adjustment, there's a moment of clarity when you know that everything you've done in your life has been good and right because it has led you to watch this video. Shot for shot I believe that this has to rank among the most consistent and entertaining films ever made.

2. Danger Zone

I'm usually not attracted to men, but I'll be damned if this video doesn't make me think twice. If I were Tom Cruise in the eighties, who am I to say that I wouldn't have let goose blow me? If I were Eduardo and I met Kenny in Tuscon...how can I judge Machete for doing exactly what I would have done?

3. These Dreams

I am forced to second Eduardo's love for Heart's "These Dreams". I generally avoid media with premises that I have difficulty identifying with. I dismiss books and movies based on a "fucking kid wizard" and avoid anything that takes place on a space ship. This video has completely changed my mind. Teen Vampires? Why the hell not? I am now excited as hell to watch the twilight series. If the movies are anything like this video, I hope that they make 10 of them!

  1. Thank you Jerry, for that latest post. I enjoyed watching Mr. Roth molest his bandmates.
